Electronic Music Piece of the Day Give-Away

Once again, oh elusive Gauntletarians around the world, hiding in the dark corners of the internet in a futile attempt to throw the powers that be off your scent, we return again for yet another Bandcamp hosted 391 & the Army of Astraea Electronic Music Piece of the Day Give-Away.

Today's track is entitled "Motion Statuary", and while it may reference my own creative endeavors in the field of sculpting, it was more so designed as a three-part soundtrack-tinged piece meant to capture the fanciful, yet disturbing, image of human-formed statues moving of their own accord when no one is looking.

Anyway, please do enjoy, or for heavens sake, at least be kind of creeped out.

Oh, and as I mentioned before, please feel free to hip your friends who are open to Industrial-Electronic tunes to listen, like, subscribe to, and comment on, the Stubborn God Productions Soundcloud  and Facebook Pages.

Till next time.

Electronic Music Piece of the Day Give-Away

Welcome novice or adept Gauntletarians - to the online home of clues to the whereabouts of the missing armature of the once famed master of stage prestidigitation, Mister Leopold King. Truly, that lost device, that sublime Gauntlet, has left its indelible mark on the mysterious nether regions where magick meets science, and the occult meets art.

Irregardless, today's fare is neither magickal nor occult, but I'd wager to say it could be considered art as well as science, as it is another installment in the Bandcamp hosted 391 & the Army of Astraea Electronic Music Piece of the Day Give-Away.

Today's track is titled "Waiting Room", and if I am to de-mystify the impetus for the piece, I must confess it was indeed created in installments in an actual medical waiting room, via software, of course.

This little ditty started life as a simple experiment with some minor key harmonics, but it quickly morphed from its very electronic start into a somewhat Chanson de Geste of the medieval French troubadours to an Indo-Persian modal improvisation.

Anyway, I hope you do enjoy it, and ideally, hip your friends who are open to Industrial-Electronic tunes to listen, like, subscribe to, and comment on, the Stubborn God Productions Soundcloud Page.

Till next time.

Sculpture Garden: A Return to Astraea

I have to admit that it's been quite a while since I posted anything in the "Sculpture Garden" category here on the Gauntlet of Balthazar, but as I did just so happen to finish yet another deity-inspired figurine amid script-writing, film editing, and music projects, just a few days ago, I thought, hey, why not?

As far as the fodder for this "portrait" goes, this little lady is a frequently referred to subject of mine, and is a triumphantly posed, and ubiquitously blindfolded, Astraea, the goddess of Justice, winged and holding a waist high two-handed sword  in front of her contrapuntal frame.

To be totally honest this specific project was fraught with problems from the start, as the clay I used was quite old and was in need of hydrating, and constant re-hydrating, throughout the process.

The result of this was that a bevy of was difficulties plagued the crafting of this statuette, including frequent breakage (thank goodness for toothpicks and gorilla glue!), and a lack of suppleness, which of course impeded as preferred level of detailing. Hence why she is not as delicately feminine as I usually choose to render her.

Regardless, I think it came out, uh, okay, for a piece that was so difficult to force into being.

Till next time.
