Mixology: Introducing "The Island Leprechaun"

Welcome back to the mighty Gauntlet of Balthazar for yet another foray into creative mixology.

With a bunch of us spinning our wheels about the house in quarantine from the Wuflu, I imagine that gastronomic fare across the globe has in general seen an uptick in inventiveness as of late, and in regard to alcohol, I can't picture it much different, if not more so.

Saying that, my focus on the generation of off-color cocktails has struck again, and in this case the invention, co-created and co-named in collusion with my daughter, has been dubbed and will forevermore be know as "The Island Leprechaun".

It's a tad on the sweet side, but not intensely, and I must say it's even greener than my earlier verdant monster, "The Emerald City", and there's a good reason why.

The rather simple recipe calls for:

1 part Bacardi Mango Rum
1 Part Blue Curaçao
2 Parts Orange Juice

Serve over ice in an Old Fashioned Glass

Obviously the blue of the Curaçao and yellow of the Orange Juice combine to form the ultra-green, but the pistachio-like tint was even beyond my expectations.

Anyway, that's about all for now.

Enjoy the Island Leprechaun.

Till next time.
